With the Amp Academy Stomp, a player no longer has to choose Modeler or Profiler, as both technologies are available in Amp Academy Stomp. NUX has painstakingly recreated 28 of the most popular amplifiers from the ground up. More, Amp Academy Stomp allows for the mixing and matching of power amp sections, offering both tube and solid state options.

With NUX IMAGE Black-Box technology, a player can load NAM captures of their favorite amplifiers directly into the device, opening a whole new world of tone. 3 DEEP-IMAGE multi-layer captures are included, and up to 30 slots for NAM profiles are available.

NUX has taken Impulse Responses to the next level with CYBER IR. Players can now load independent left and right Impulse Responses, and choose from 8 microphone models and 20 possible microphone positions to create truly immersive rigs. Out of the box we have included 30 top-quality IR’s with the ability to load an additional 30 in the user slots.

Amp Academy Stomp allows for rearranging of amps and effects. The noise gate, compression, boost/drive, amplifier, EQ, and Send/Return blocks can be freely arranged in any order before the IR block. After the IR block, a player can choose if delay or reverb comes first, and even choose to have these effects run parallel or in series.

Amp Academy Stomp contains an entire rig, some players may choose to utilize their existing pedal lineup as well. Amp Academy Stomp features a ¼” send and return for injecting external devices into the signal chain. The device also allows for MIDI I/O via ⅛” jacks, and features a TRS input for external footswitches or expression pedals. The stereo outputs are balanced ¼” jacks, and a ⅛” headphone output is available as well. For recording enthusiasts, the Amp Academy Stomp has a USB-C audio interface with loopback, offering both wet and dry recording modes, as well as the ability to re-amp without needing an additional interface.

Amp Academy Stomp allows players to customize the footswitches to their tastes. Use preset mode to toggle through preset banks and choose A, B, or C. Scene mode allows you to switch between the 3 scenes available for each preset. Stomp mode allows you to choose any 3 blocks and toggle them on/off with the on-board footswitches. Connecting the included NMP-2 adds an additional 2 footswitches, which can control the on-board 30s looper, tuner, or any of the effects blocks for additional flexibility.

With the editor software for PC/Mobile, players can edit and save presets directly to the device via the USB-C connection. And with the included NBT-1 dongle and the app, players can edit and save presets from their mobile device without any cables!
