Doheny's Pool Pro Above Ground Dual-Speed Cartridge Filter Systems are built to the same specifications as our Deluxe Cartridge Filter Systems - but includes a 2-speed pump and motor that will provide the ultimate Cartridge Filter experience! We have always recommended running your filter as much as you possibly can for one simple reason: if your pool water is constantly being agitated or moving - it makes it that much more difficult for algae to attack - and ruin your cherished weekend in the pool! Running a standard pump, all the time can be expensive, depending on the motor HP and where you live. However, running our 2-speed pump on 'low', 24 hours a day is not! At low speed, you are drawing a much lower amperage to the motor and thus running it much more efficiently! Because of the porosity of a cartridge filters' element, it allows you to be able to run the pump at much lower speeds - thus giving you the ability to be able to run your filter 24/7 so that when you want to use your pool - it will always be clean for you. Stop the mess before it can happen! Use the 'high speed' to run your auto cleaner or to be able to turn over larger volumes of water more quickly when adding chemicals, etc. Both sized systems feature 1.5-inch internal threads and 2.5-inch external threads on the pump and 2-inch female plumbing connections on the filter tank that can be easily reduced to 1.5-inch for smooth installation.
