Is installation difficult?
No. The system arrives fully pre‑plumbed with 2" union fittings, accessed via the top-mounted multiport valve. Includes filter media, all fittings, and an integrated UV chamber. Unit mounts on an included weather-resistant pad.
How often should maintenance be done?
Backwash when the pressure gauge rises or sight glass shows reduced flow—typically every 1–2 weeks. The UV lamp should be replaced annually; full media replacement less often.
How does the backwash feature work?
A 2HP airline blower agitates the filter media during backwash, clearing clogs and preventing media channeling. Operated through a 6-position multiport valve and guided by a pressure gauge and sight glass. No extra pump required.
How loud is the system during operation?
The pump and UV operate quietly during normal use. The air blower will produce noticeable noise—but only during backwashing, which typically lasts just a few minutes.
