Detail
Heat is a highly effective way to destroy bedbugs and other pests as it penetrates deep into cracks and crevasses where bugs can hide from inspection and pesticides. The ThermalStrike Ranger uses Six-Sided Heat Technology where all six walls are regulated at 155 F°. This allows the Ranger to be loaded just like a hamper – without needing to place items on blocks or trying to balance air flow. As heat is applied over all surfaces our patented heating system surrounds items and gently brings them up to temperature (rather than rather than a direct jet of extreme heat blowing in one location).
Safety has always been at the forefront of design decisions and the ThermalStrike Ranger uses seven thermostats throughout the system to provide temperature regulation and safety. In addition, a built-in timer automatically shuts the unit off after a heat-cycle. The Ranger is certified to CE standards as a heating appliance (CE Certification for Electrical Appliances / LVD Directive - Ankel Testing Laboratories Report #ANL15032001-L 2016).
Rugged, Portable and Collapsible Design
The Ranger is a compact and hardworking unit and has been an industry favorite since its launch in 2013. When expanded, the Ranger easily fits carry-on and most full-sized suitcases up to 28 inches with room to spare. When not in use the Ranger folds down to the size of a briefcase using built-in straps and can be stored in a piece of carry-on luggage.
Additional Features:
- PVC enclosure area is sealed, welded construction to prevent escape during treatment.
- Insulated outer shell of high durability 420D nylon with industrial zippers for years of use.
- Six-sided heating to ensure there are not hot spots that could damage the contents or cold spots that could allow the bugs to hide.
- Includes a corded thermometer showing maximum treatment temperature and 2-4-8 hour treatment timer
- Hassle-Free and Versatile. The Ranger is easy to load. No rearranging the contents to ensure air flow, unlike fan-forced heating systems.
ThermalStrike Ranger is a reliable way to eliminate bedbugs and other pests in all life-cycle stages – eggs, nymphs, and adults using only heat.
Eliminate Travel Stress In A Zip
Heat is recognized as the ultimate solution for bed bug eradication. A key factor is the ability for heat to penetrate into hiding places that cannot be visually inspected or reached by chemicals. Industry research has shown that lethal temperatures for eliminating bed bugs and the eggs requires exposure to temperatures ranging from 117°F to 122°F. The Thermalstrike Ranger can safely heat up to 160°F to surround the contents with uniform heat which is able to permeate to the core, yet is safe to touch and will not damage the contents.
One of the biggest advantages of the Ranger is the ease of use. Once setup you are free to load the Ranger wall-to-wall with a variety of items. The walls of the Ranger safely heat up to 155°F to surround the contents with uniform heat which is able to permeate to the core, yet is safe to touch and will not damage the contents.
Suitcases: The Ranger can treat hard and soft-sided suitcases up to 28 inches tall. If loading a suitcase into the unit, the suitcase can simply be lifted into the Ranger. Alternatively, if the suitcase is heavy, the Ranger may be placed on its side while sliding the suitcase into the unit, then return the Ranger to its standing position. With a few exceptions items (medicines, waxy cosmetics and deodorant) may be left inside the suitcase.
Garbage Bags and Storage Bins: When dealing with an infestation, bagged items can be placed directly inside the Ranger without issue. We also recommend storage bins for treating small items.
Bedroom Linens & Items: When treating a bedroom for bed bugs, the Ranger may be placed in the room and loaded much the same way as a hamper. If a dryer is available with a hot or sanitizing cycle, sheets and light linens can be done there, but extreme care should be exercised when moving these items out of the bedroom. Heavy blankets and bedding which can't be sufficiently heated in the dryer, which may include feather duvets, pillows, stuffed animals, etc., should be loaded into the Ranger.
Books and Papers: These items may be stacked inside the Ranger without concern. Note that dense items (such as reams of papers, large books, or files) can take longer to treat. Some spacing between books can reduce the treatment time.
Other Items: People often find out about us after they've thrown out hundreds of dollars worth of items that could have been saved. We have treated leather jackets, books, dry clean only fabrics, shoes, small electronics, etc.
The last thing you want is to spread the bugs around the house. The Ranger can be setup in the bedroom for immediate treatment of sheets and bedding.Just load it like a hamper without the challenge of blocks or concerns.
Heat treated bedding is the first step towards getting a good night sleep.
