What makes Kennedy Violins string instruments the best on the market? First, we purchase each violin directly from the maker — a rare and highly effective business practice that lowers our cost and allows us to pass the savings to you.
Follow these instructions for the most accurate size: First, with arm outstretched to the side, measure the player's arm from the base of neck to mid-palm. Check the size chart below for the right size of violin according to arm length measurement. Always choose the smaller size if the student is in-between sizes. A larger instrument will hinder the student’s ability to play properly. The deciding factor is if the student is able to, or very close to, playing the 4th finger. If they can reach this fingering the violin will be usable.
- Extend arm fully to the side and perpendicular to the body.
- Measure from the base of the neck to the middle of the palm.
- If you are between sizes, size down.
