The Ricard Bunnel G1 Violin Outfit is an upgrade from the Bunnel G2, and an excellent choice for students and adult beginners. The Bunnel G1 includes unique professional upgrades and offers a sound typically described by professional players as sweet, strong, and projective. Watch the performance video to hear it's great tone. The perfect all-in-one package, your order includes EVERYTHING you need to start playing the moment you open your case.

    • Tone: Warm, sweet, smooth.
    • Aesthetics: Rich chocolatey brown varnish, with a smooth matte finish.
    • Perfect for: Beginning violinists and learning students.
    • Upgraded: French Aubert bridge and high-grade maple for a more resonant sound.

All final assembly and FREE setup is performed locally in the USA by our professional luthier staff. NO assembly or setup is required with a violin that is ready to tune and play from the moment you open the case.

    Professional set up includes:

    • Accurately planed and smoothed fingerboard.
    • Custom-fit bridge is hand-carved, arched, shaped, and notched.
    • Bridge feet are fit to the curvature of the violin.
    • The nut is carved to professional standard measurements.
    • Pegs are fitted and treated for smooth operation.

    • Four built-in fine tuners on a composite tailpiece.
    • Genuine ebony fittings.
    • Solid carved (not pressed) maple back and sides.
    • Solid carved spruce top.
    • Inlaid purfling.
    • Handmade construction.
    • Satin oil finish (not a shiny, thick, tinny-sounding lacquer finish).

What makes Kennedy Violins string instruments the best on the market? First, we purchase each violin directly from the maker. This allows us to have better quality control, lowers cost, and allows us to pass the quality and savings benefits to you.

Follow these instructions for the most accurate size: First, with arm outstretched to the side, measure the player's arm from the base of neck to mid-palm. Check the size chart below for the right size of violin according to arm length measurement. Always choose the smaller size if the student is in-between sizes. A larger instrument will hinder the student’s ability to play properly. The deciding factor is if the student is able to, or very close to, playing the 4th finger. If they can reach this fingering the violin will be usable.

    1. Extend arm fully to the side and perpendicular to the body.
    2. Measure from the base of the neck to the middle of the palm.
    3. If you are between sizes, size down.

Please use the sizing chart below to assist you.
