Granberg International began in 1954 when WWII veteran Elof Granberg invented the File-n-Joint to improve chainsaw sharpening. This innovation launched a family-owned business committed to high-quality, American-made tools.
124-Inch Mill2Made in USA!3Quality You Can Trust4Our Story5Mill SizesCan I put a larger mill on a smaller bar?
Alaskan mills can be adjusted for smaller bars. The rails have a channel allowing the depth post to move. For a 32" bar, use a 36" mill (G778-36). A 48" mill (G778-48) fits a 36" bar but requires space. Only thick brush may pose challenges.
What size chainsaw do I need for a Granberg mill?
The required size depends on the mill model. We recommend a minimum of a 50cc chainsaw for small mills, while larger mills work best with saws 70cc or more.
Can I use a Granberg Chainsaw Mill alone?
Yes! While having a partner helps, our mills are designed for solo operation. Proper setup, safety gear, and a steady approach ensure smooth milling.
How portable is a Granberg Chainsaw Mill
Extremely portable! Made from lightweight aluminum and steel, it can be easily transported and set up in remote locations without extra equipment.
Does milling with a Granberg mill damage my chainsaw?
No, as long as you use a ripping chain and keep your saw well-maintained. Our mills are designed for efficient cutting without excessive wear.
