Rx Clear’s Mega Shock contains 73% calcium hypochlorite, yielding 70% available chlorine making it stronger than Super Shock. The components of calcium hypochlorite makes this product similar to household bleach, but with a longer shelf life. Mega Shock is a highly effective multi-purpose product that sanitizes, clarifies and controls algae all in one giving you crystal clear water for a more enjoyable swimming experience.

Add a 1 lb bag per 10,000 gallons of pool water.If you’re trying to kill algae it is recommended you use 2 bags of shock per 14,000 gallons until the algae is dead. Use the following formulas below to find out the number of gallons of water in your pool:

For the best results use Mega Shock at night in order to prevent the sun from eating up the shock. Do not swim for 8 to 10 hours after application.

Mega Shock has a pH of 11, making this an ideal shock when chlorine levels and pH levels are both down.Test these levels with the appropriate chemical testing kits for pH and chlorine.
