    This new bottle top vacuum filter is designed for use on glass or polystyrene media bottles with 45mm neck size to filter and store cell culture media, biological fluids, and other aqueous solutions. The filter consists of a 1000mL polystyrene filter funnel with a 0.22µm pore size 54.5sq cm area PES membrane and a 45mm diameter polyethylene neck adaptor with hose connector. Polyethersulfone (PES) membranes provide the fastest flow rates, the lowest protein binding and low extractables, and are best for filtering cell culture media. An angled hose connector simplifies vacuum line attachment. Each system has the membrane material and pore size printed on the unit and is color-coded by membrane type for easy product identification. Expiration date appears on the filter funnel and shipping boxes (expiration date of the membrane is three years from the time the product is manufactured).
